The color direction in this episode in particular is phenomenal. It mostly encompasses a flashback so I would assume for that reason, more muted hues were chosen and naturally, Kobayashi's water colors fit like a glove.
The pre-air staff listing for Moriarty's 22nd ep drew some concern as it went from a seemingly healthy production to 5 assistant ED and double digit ADs. Turns out the animation was outsourced and they needed the whole team to maintain the strong level of polish, which they did!
Bomberman Jetters has been on my list for ages and I regret not making the time to look through it sooner. With designs by Sailor Moon's Hisashi Kagawa, it featured frequent Studio Cockpit outsourcing- which of course, brings with it kids-anime legend Yoshihiko Umakoshi
