Not posting these because they're similarly constructed layouts (even though they are) but instead because both Toshiyuki Tsuru and Shota Goshozono have extensive CGI knowledge which passively and actively influences the way they design layouts.
Toshiyuki Tsuru did design and supervision for Street Fighter II: Return to the Fujiwara Capital in 1995
This was his second contact with Pierrot's Naoji Hounokidani (朴谷直治), an pivotal producer in Tsuru's career (Neo Ranga, Saiyuki, Kaze no Yojimbo, then of course, Naruto)
not a film, but TTGL is also among the best color scripted work. Most Gainax/Trigger anime hold similar claims but nothing has yet to top this and its been 15 years.
These days 3DCG layout has become standardized as a tool given to animators to more quickly establish the needed perspective. On one hand, this eases burden on the staff, but on the other, it makes animators capable of drawing *unassisted* strong background layouts a dying breed
