It's v this afternoon. A fixture that reminds me of one of my favourite games: April 20, 1974 & a Graeme Souness hat-trick in an 8-0 Boro win. A more than honourable mention too for the legend John Hickton bought from the Owls for £20,000 in Sept, '66

is 54 years old today! And there's been a change or two along the way. It's continued to inspire me for all but 11 of my own years on the planet.

v this weekend. Hands up if your mind drifts back to Feb 21, 1976 when Boro went to Elland Road & won 2-0. My painting is of John Hickton, who scored both goals. The Leeds player is Paul Madeley as Boro's Phil Boersma looks on.
