@MemorabiliaMal A visit to @NorwichCityFC for @Boro this afternoon. It's usually a closely fought contest between the two sides. And ran true to form on October 9, 1976, when a late Graeme Souness goal made the difference at Ayresome Park.
@FootballMuseum @SportsMemNet @Boro And an earlier tribute I painted which, with my compliments, is also at your disposal.
@MemorabiliaMal 1904 & 2 versions of the @Boro team picture: one is the usual group of Edwardian sportsmen but the other, well, it made me smile & so I turned it into a painting. Judging by his body language, I think we can blame Jimmy 'Daisy' Bell, seated 2nd from the left.
#DoctorWho inked and coloured for the 90s and the same page re-drawn for the 2016 edition of Evening's Empire. Previously posted a year or so ago.
@MemorabiliaMal @QPRFC against @Boro has echoes of a memorable game at Ayresome, Sept 26, 1970. QPR had a 2-0 lead early on but a hat-trick for John Hickton, two from Hugh McIlmoyle and one from Derrick Downing put things right in a 6-2 Boro victory.
@MemorabiliaMall Today it's @FulhamFC at the Riverside against @Boro. Different days in '73 at Ayresome as Fulham spoiled Jack Charlton's home debut with a 2-0 win. It got better though & a year before the next home defeat. By then, Boro were back in Div 1 after a 20 year absence
@MemorabiliaMall This afternoon it's @pnefc v @Boro & a fixture that provokes another memory of Charlton's Champions. At Deepdale in April 1974 Preston achieved the rare feat of scoring more than once against us. Goals from Brine x2, Foggon & Hickton still secured a 4-2 Boro win.
@MemorabiliaMall There's nothing quite so dramatic as a last minute goal just when you've reconciled yourself to a 0-0. Joseph Desire-Job for @Boro v @Rovers in the FA Carling Premiership, August 31, 2002.
