@_noskcaj_17 Creating environments is my favourite part. I almost always do the animal last and it's more like "Okay, let's get this over with" 😆
Olorotitan (Titanic swan) swimming across a shallow lake. I was really trying to see if I could recreate something in the style of Bernie Fuchs. #paleoart #hadrosaur
Shonisaurus sikanniensis was one of the largest ichthyosaurs that ever swam the Triassic seas. This whale-sized marine reptile could reach close to 70ft in length and it's fossils were found here in British Columbia! #paleoart
Not all sauropods had long necks. Brachytrachelopan had one of the shortest. This dicraeosaurid from the late Jurassic is heading to new browsing grounds across a sand spit in Argentina. Its name means "short-necked Pan" in honour of the shepard that founds the fossils #paleoart
The long-legged Atlasaurus (named for the Atlas Mountains in Morocco) roamed North Africa during the Middle Jurassic. It was about 50 ft long and estimated to be about 30 ft high. #paleoart #dinosaurs
Since "Mesozoic crocodilian" came in a close second in my poll I thought I'd paint the fascinating crocodylomorph Armadillosuchus. Likely a land-dwelling, burrow-digging armadillo-armoured, crocodile-like animal, it had forward pointing lower teeth and was omnivorous. #paleoart
I've noticed a lot of leopard seals in my feed lately. I did this a couple years ago for #mermay because the only thing scarier than a leopard seal is a leopard seal with opposable thumbs.
