However, giving their power to restore the Digital World meant that their Digimon couldn't evolve into Perfect or Ultimate. At least for now, since this was the power of their hearts, this wouldn't be lost forever.

The distortion could only be fixed if the "Force that Protects the Digital World" that was sealed by the power of darkness was released. It's the mysterious power that if weakened would increase the Dark Power in the Digital World.

Gennai called them to the Digital World. They thought that due to Apocalymon defeat, the Digital World's distortion would have been fixed, but it wasn't.

In the Anime the existence of the Four Holy Beasts was first only implied by some characters. Such as in the episode 27 of Digimon ADventure 02 "The Unparalleled Union! Paildramon" when Koushiro explains about something that happened a while after the events of "Our War Game".

The group was introduced for the 02 era and were used in nearly every piece of Digimon media such as the Digivice 3-D toy, the anime, card game and games.

However, Ryo wasn't there and still was able to evolve into Justimon. So, some fans started creating theories saying that Ryo didn't need that due to the Wonderswan games or something like that.

I was saving this for the FHB thread, but since it's taking longer than what I expected (Sorry), I'll post this. As you may remember, in order to evolve into Ultimate in the Real World, Dobermon delivered to the Tamers part of the power of the Four Holy Beasts.

The same is valid for other games whose websites are now offline, such as the ones for the PS2 games. At least the main page of these sites, since the sub-pages such as the Story or Dictionary section of games like S:AM are still available.
