The sun was an important part of Irish prehistory & can be identified in the spiral carvings on sites such as Newgrange & in the survival of the ring on Celtic Crosses. Here, in my original ink on paper drawing, I’ve taken that idea & integrated it with flowers & serenity.

Thread: Boris Grigoriev (1886-1939) was born on this day. He was a Russian social realist painter who created unique & psychologically intense portraits. He is hardly known today but his art is fascinating. Let’s take a look!
