In her final years she supported herself by creating posters & with the help of friends. She died in Ascona & was buried in the Russian Graveyard there. Old age (nd), in her studio (nd) & All Souls Day (1930)

Werefkin moved to live at Lake Maggiore & founded the Great Bear group in 1924. Ave Maria (1927), Country Road (1920), Klostergarten (c1926) & Big Moon (1923)

Snow Swirl (1915). This is one of her bleakest & most powerful images. Her vision was one in which nature dominated the lives of people. It became a cypher for the her subconscious
