Picasso chose to depict Olga in a neoclassical manner (1920). She disliked his friends & avant-garde works so the style fitted. He would bring a monumentality to the classical style as shown in his Head of a Woman (1921) as well as his Mother & Child (1922)
To understand Picasso you have to realise that every character he creates is a self-portrait. In this period we see him exploring his sexuality through both male & female eyes. Mother & Child (1904), Horse with a Youth in Blue (1905) & Two Nudes (1906) & Nude (1907)
Our medical community are working endless hours, in high stress conditions & with limited means to treat Covid-19. They are caring for the dying.
Their sacrifice needs to be matched by people staying home & staying safe.

Thread: I think everyone should have access to original artwork & it’s also my 50th birthday this month. I’m immunosuppressed so am in solitary confinement in my Dublin flat.
So I decided to celebrate by creating an offer where everyone can afford to own some of my art
Picasso (1881-1973) was perhaps the most inventive artist in history. He drew extensively from his subconscious & explored the metaphysical through his art. He was an artist driven by his subconscious. Joy of Life (1946). He died on this day.
To mark my 50th birthday, during the month of April, here is your chance to own some of my work.

An Old Friend (2020)
Thread: Great news! A very obliging company in Limerick has come to the rescue with poster tubes & envelopes for me. This means I am able to continue to make my once in five decades offer on my artwork.
It’s important to me that everyone have access to the consolation of art.
I love his intense psychological portraits which are forebears you the expressionist German portraits of the 20th C. Here’s a Venetian Woman (1505), Burkard von Speyer (1506) & Portrait of a Girl (1515). The latter drawing fascinated me as a child.
