By May 1890 Vincent moved to N France to Auvers-Sur-Oise, under the care of Dr Gachet. Two of his last landscapes are the ominous Wheatfield under Thunder Clouds & Wheatfield with Crows. They echo his mental state & struggle (he said they represented his sadness & loneliness)

Thread: I’m going to be 50 this week, which is a testament to medical science, monkey gland injections & plastic surgery.
