I got caught up in the hype of Metroid Dread, so I decided to play through an actual Metroid game for the first time.
Super Metroid could have done with some quality of life tweaks, but I can't deny how boss it otherwise is. The atmosphere and exploration make a perfect combo.
I've also played through the old mobile version of Crash Twinsanity. Or, one of them anyway.
It's a small game inspired by the segments from the
console game where you clear a path for Neo Cortex as he runs by himself.
As far as old short phone games go, this one's okay.
Now that I sobered up with coffee, here's what I played through during my sleep deprived retro gaming session at super early in the morning:
-Sonic the Hedgehog (16-Bit)
-Flea
-Donkey Kong (Game Boy)
Almost makes up for the sleep I lost. Almost.
Just beat the arcade version of Golden Axe
What I like about this game is that, whereas arcade games are typically only interested in bleeding wallets dry, this game can be beaten fairly feasibly with only some credits used up.
If you're skilled, you don't even need to use any.
