@vivissiah Rychillan clothing is usually light and sleeveless. The former due to the subtropical climate, and the latter due to the tattooed marks along the arms. These indicate social status, profession, and other achievements. Covering them is considered dishonest.

@TATKulisch Naeliya does, initially. She uses alcohol to escape the ennui of being stuck in the 'default' job for town fairies: messenger. She's even figured out how to use her waterkind magic to allow her to outdrink humans (who are 6x the size of fairies).

@asrs_williams Foe Yaetherim, it's definitely Charlys. She was by his side when he was attacked, and took an active role in bringing his attackers to justice.
He calls her 'Sunbird', because just seeing her brightens his day.

@AlyannaPoe Yaetherim calls Charlys 'Sunbird'. Originally it was because of how she flew around all the time when she first learned to fly. Now it's because seeing her brightens up his day.
Charlys calls him 'Therry', and is the only one who gets away with it.

@asrs_williams Rychillan fashion is 'short sleeved steampunk'. They have tattooed marks along their arms (terax marks) that indicate profession, rank, social class & noteworthy achievements, and don't want to cover these up.
It's also a humid subtropical climate.

@RipleyJNick This is Nelack, the wandering mage. After nepotism cost them a job as a mage in their hometown, they set out to find their place in the Kingdom of Rychilla. While doing so, they help those in need they come across.
Nelack is friendly and talkative.

@LaraRouseWrites **Spoiler**
Charlys is a nokind fairy - no natural element. She will discover she does have a natural element, a previously unknown one.
When she's first exposed to this element's magic, her eyes change from hazel to rust-brown, along with other changes.

@asrs_williams Yaetherim was attacked with a water lance and left for dead. This left him with 8 scars across his arms and legs, a 9th across his chest and a hole in his wing.
It ended his career as a forest protector. My first book covers him finding those responsible.

@DuskaEverything Yaetherim, my MC, is disabled. The patch of grey on his upper-right wing is where he had to have fabric grafted over it after a hole was cut in it. It's similar to a prosthetic limb.

@TATKulisch My Rychillan (human) characters use cars, buses and lorries, driven by steam engines. The steam comes from water and fire elemental magic.
Fairies usually fly. But the human vehicles have handles on the roofs, to allow fairies to grab on and hitch a ride.
