I stayed off SM all day except for a few minutes & finished writing the Battle of Eutaw Springs & the immediate aftermath in my novel about Nathanael Greene. It was slow going but I used resources from multiple participants. Sept 8 is the 241st anniversary of the battle. Huzzah!

What is everyone reading this weekend? I'm reading about this guy. Williams deserves more attention. He fought, commanded troops, suffered as a prisoner of war, served as temp adjutant general for George Washington, as well as, Nathanael Greene during the Southern Campaign.

My new read. I can't write about the Southern Campaign without knowing this guy & his contributions to the American Revolution in general. He was part of the conflict the entire war & even onetime adjutant general to GW.

Banastre Tarleton lost two fingers from a musket ball received in his right hand during the Battle of Guilford Courthouse on 15 Mar 1781. Henry Knox accidently shot off two fingers on his left hand on 24 Jul 1773 age 23. Neither man is hiding his wounded hand in their paintings.
