Thoughts on Earthworm Jim? Still a 16-bit classic or didn't live up to its hype?

Capcom were on fire by the time 88-89 rolled around, dropping hit after hit on the NES and proving that they weren't afraid to make tweaks (or radical transformations!) to an arcade conversion. LEGENDARY WINGS is one of those, adding a welcome reprise from one-hit-one-kill.

I'm reminded now of another #C64 game that used to spook me: Mirrorsoft's Terror of The Deep. An atmospheric (and scary!) diving adventure to try and uncover Nessie!

Work for the day is done and dusted, so I can push on with what I had planned to share this eve. So, we kick off with some #GameMagNibbles and a rather adorable multipage ad for Sonic 1 in June 1991 from Video Games & Computer Entertainment. Gotta turn fast!

@OneEightZero Thinking about Amigas is good!
The Amiga computers have a special place in my heart, so I talk about them and their games often. It was the machine I grew up into gaming with after C64 and where the majority of my genre tastes were established.
@KobuRetro Aha, Hired Guns would have been my pick! Lovely choice and an amazing game.
I'll go with one that was critically acclaimed at the time but I feel has lapsed into obscurity: Hammerfist on C64. A graphically gorgeous action adventure with two switchable chars.
