Did you know that the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog Robotnik design was designed by Milton Knight to be a more cartoony version of SatAM Robotnik's design?
Sonic SatAM had been in development over half a year before Adventures of Sonic started-
@TeamSea3on Sea3on Origins: Origins
It's still so odd to think that modern Sea3on is a reboot of an older Sea3on comic from the early 2000s lol.
Here's some art made from Sega World Sydney of Sonic, Sally, Tails, and Knuckles!
The characters are given more noticeable shading than usual. Certain poses, such as for Tails and Knuckles, originate from other stock art of the characters.
What are your thoughts on the art?
Of course, there's also a few non-SatAM references in the story. Sally is called a Chipmunk (her Archie and Troll Associates species), Julian is given the last name "Kintobor", Snivley is given his Archie name "Colin", and of course, Nicole is a Lynx modeled after her Archie-
heartbreaking, especially when she throws the Nicole computer, which she named after the supposedly dead Nicole, at a wall before immediately regretting it and promising she'd never do it again. Props to @doom_the_meme for her incredibly moving performance as Young Sal.
The audio drama does a brilliant job at adapting the basic story while also adding their own little details. Nicole being a servant's daughter who befriends the princess while also being an astrology geek is adorable.
I love that despite causing dumb rumors in the royal court,-

focused mostly on the main storyline, as, to them, they felt "the important thing was the character, not the design."
