Translators often make unnecessary changes to Japanese media based on their own personal worldview. They censor, sanitize, & make a mockery out of the creations of others. These practices deserve nothing but scorn.
Cue another season of articles by a bunch of morons who give the least charitable interpretations of fiction & always manage to be wrong about everything.
Fiction doesn't "damage" mentally stable & secure individuals. Rather than placing the blame on stories made as escapism from the hardships of life, the focus should be on ensuring people are equipped to handle adversity & separate fiction from reality.
This world needs a whole lot more Super Nintendo and a whole lot less of whatever this nonsense is.
