The Johnson Shut-ins state park was my favorite to learn about. Fun fact, "shut-ins" refers to the small streams of water formed via erosion. They are commonly used as a natural form of waterslide! The last park, and my favorite, will be thrown up saturday.
Carlsbad Caverns was extremely fun. This piece is where I learned that small figures in big spaces is a motif I adore. And that decorative type is heartbreakingly difficult. This is my second of 4 U.S. park postcard designs!
Seeing everyone's thesis stuff going up makes me want to show off my thesis! A year ago I made 4 postcard designs for some U.S. parks. I chose these parks based on stories my friends' travels. Acadia was the last one I had started working on and the most difficult.
@TheNoisyPencil I'm still really proud of how this state park poster came out. I made it for my thesis a little over a year ago now.
@DeePeeArts My style is a bunch of textured shapes with lineart over top of it. And a big emphasis on color.
I made national park postcards for my thesis this past spring. This is the first one, the I redid along the way. I learned a lot from doing these.
@TheNoisyPencil @anthilemoon @ness_labs Howdy! I have a pretty quick, flat style, I'd be happy to learn more. You can find more of my work here: https://t.co/ufzC0V6Nm6
@notherndubiety Hello! My name is Shane and, among other stuff, I do comics :D
Anyone want a D&D birthday card? I want to make more stuff in this vein but have no idea how I'd get it around to people, or even if there's any interest.
