@gegallas Hey! My name is Shane, I'm a student illustrator interested in comics and children's book illustration.

Whenever I’m really stressed about art, I draw myself. I don’t have to worry about messing it up, or getting the likeness wrong, I can just play with colors and mark making and scribbling. I’ll probably make a new profile pic soon too.

Day 2 of #dogcember! I'm definitely not going to do all 30 days but I intend to do at least a few more, they've been really fun!

When I showed this to my partner she said "awwww bat boy!" So I will be including the name of the dog in my #dogcember posts. I'm also 18 days behind so I'm going to do as many as I can.

In the midst of thesis and finals, I wanted a fun side project. It just so happens I'm friends with an insanely talented writer @cursetheground, who lent me the honor of illustrating one of her poems! Hopefully I'll get to do more stuff like this soon :D

I've reached a point where I'm not sure what I have and have not posted on here, but I am certain that this hasn't been shown; a one week assignment based on the prompt/book title "Every Heart a doorway."

There's an old fable called "the monkey and the camel" about a monkey that dances really well and a camel that wants to dance but can't. I'm not very fond of the story but here's the illustration I did for class.

A little frog boi I doodled up in between thesis pieces. A professor of mine told me to try different color palettes; I tend to always use os e kinda orange and purple scheme, so trying to make a kinda cozy green color comp here was tricky.
