Clara. 2020. pencil on oil-blotted paper. 11"x14". This started as a prelim for a much larger and differently colored painting I want to do, but I enjoyed the prelim so much that I just continued to work on it as a finished drawing. The painting will be acidic veridian and amber.
Some shots from GDT's At Home With Monsters exhibit in LA, 2016. My heart was in my throat the entire time. Getting to see Struzan's original poster art for Pan's Labyrinth made my eyes well up. The whole experience is something I'll never be able to adequately articulate.
