Our final look at Olly and Me is called ‘Happy Birthday, Dear Mum’
Shirley’s own birthday is in July.
Stories Galore in Olly and Me
Dad says ‘Why do you always choose the same books?’ I say it’s because I like them best. One day I will read all the books in the library!
This week we will be looking through the pages of Olly and Me published by Walker Books
He remembered that he had put Bonting out to dry after his swim. He ran anxiously to the place where he had left him. But Bonting was nowhere to be seen!
From the Big Alfie Out of Doors Storybook 1/2
Soon Maureen came running upstairs with Mr MacNally close behind her, wearing his bedroom slippers.
Then he went downstairs and found a large sort of tap under the stairs and turned it off, just like that.
‘So that’s where it was’ said Maureen.
This week we will be looking through the pages of My First ABC, a first alphabet book with Katie and her little brother Olly.
After tea Mum painted a big black R on one of Alfie’s boots & a big black L on the other to help Alfie remember which boot was which. They felt much better when he went stamping about in mud & walking through puddles.
Annie Rose had to have a pair of her own too.
Alfie’s Feet
This week we will be looking at Alfie’s Feet
When they went out Annie Rose wore her red shoes and Alfie wore his old brown ones. If it had been raining Alfie liked to go stamping about in the mud and walking through puddles, splish, splash, SPLOSH!
Grandpa opened the box and flung all the papers and letters and things that were inside on to the bonfire.
‘But I thought they were special’ said William.
‘They were but it’s not things that are important really. The special things are in my head & in my heart’ said Grandpa.
Shirley's daughter @ClaraVulliamy is celebrating with a new book out today. #MarshmallowPie in Hollywood is available from all bookshops to have delivered to your door.
