Joe also did a few cover concepts for the new edition of Homunculus. Ultimately we went for the overgrown progression of the original cover to maintain the visual connection and to keep Daisy literally and figuratively centred (as she deserves!).

Banger! You can also see how Joe switched up the colour palette from the first sketches, paring it back but staying vibrant. One of the thoughts behind that was if we were able to spotgloss (we even considered holo...) the cover, it would be complementary and not overwhelming.

I suggested to Joe we swap the covers around- while the original concept shows narrative progression, (normal on front and then powered on back) the crystal head is a more arresting image on its own, which is what you want for a front cover. It’d also let us solve the title issue

Title placement still being pesky!

Joe and I both really liked this one- the rising, snapping T-Rex feels so strong but we couldn’t quite figure out title placement without compromising on the composition of the image
