Up early to watch @JohnJCampbell and @Breakfaston1 to see what is said about ICU preparedness & COVID-19. Multi-tasking by taxo-tagging @BioDivLibrary images. I find pretty pictures helps with the worry. https://t.co/Kua44zbYIE
The publication Miss Lansdell illustrated is in @BioDivLibrary! https://t.co/nxOZPVc0Yd It is in the public domain in the US and her illustrations are BEAUTIFUL! So I'm off to make sure she's in @Wikidata and try and find out more about her. #WomensHistoryMonth
One of the bi-products of me exploring the journal "The Garden" in @BioDivLibrary is that I'm coming across other out of copyright books I want access to. This plate is originally from David Wooster's "Alpine Plants", which isn't yet in #BHL. Scanning request is underway!
I'm still working on Gertrude Hamilton see https://t.co/aNNi7qrTGj. @BHL you should think about putting some of the images in this magazine in Flickr! https://t.co/pAavfXnc2n See the following as examples https://t.co/xa1kkNYrWv #HerNaturalHistory
A full text search of @BioDivLibrary resulted in a discovery that Gertrude Hamilton illustrated a book by Henry Hoare https://t.co/4w01SxANPM. I've put in a request to BHL that she be added to their catalogue. That will generate a creator id for her to add to her @Wikidata item.
I've just come across my favourite image of the day Lapagerias and Passiflora by Gertrude Hamilton. https://t.co/Em3ZyZvRTY cc @HistSciArt @BioDivLibrary

Having a lovely time researching women illustrators via this book https://t.co/5jfNr9pFEp in @BioDivLibrary. I'm adding them to @Wikidata, adding their illustrations to @WikiCommons, creating category & creator pages. So many wonderful illustrators in one book! cc @HistSciArt
These plates by Agnes Dunbar Moodie Fitzgibbon Chamberlin are magnificent! cc @BioDivLibrary
