I dunno why, but I was just thinking about oekaki and how a LONG LONG time ago I tried my paw at it. It kind of baffled me how people could make amazing art with it at the time and to be honest I am still kind of baffled. Here's some of the art I did during that time.

It also occurs to me that maybe the naming of Narwa/Naruhatatahime is partially inspired by Nu Wa a Chinese goddess who is often depicted with a snake body who is responsible for the creation of humanity and repairing the Pillars of Heaven.

One anime series I don't see a lot of people talking about is Marmalade Boy. It's a 76 episode shojo romance anime that ran from 1994-1995. It's an oddity for me but it was the first anime I watched completely so it holds a place in my heart. It's available on Netflix in Japan.

One thing I've always loved about the Monster Hunter series is cross promotions with other IPs, whether that's allowing you to hunt monsters from other IPs or adding costumes/gear from other IPs. I imagine in time we'll get something like that for Rise. I wonder what it will be.
