First off, Ash may be a 10 y/o, but he's still a guy with his own beliefs, likes/dislikes, habits, & knowledge

Limiting Ash to *just* his age is weird (especially after a dozen+ seasons of development)

He's a character, not a pigeonhole for one's definition of "10 y/o"
