So far, I'd say Evolutions is a "lesson learned" from Generations seeing how it has a longer run-time, adds new context to the game stories & generally feels better executed

I'll say Twilight Wings is the best mini-series, but Evolutions has proven itself to be solid

I've grown to like how Ash isn't always bringing back his old mons or making some "Dream Team" over the years

It shows his trust in his new mons, his trust in his skills as a trainer, & his desire to challenge himself which I find to be one of his most admirable traits

May is still PERSONALLY relevant to Ash, but she was more NARRATIVELY relevant to Dawn

Going off of that, both of them are PERSONALLY relevant to Ash compared to Paul, but Paul is more NARRATIVELY relevant to Ash's character in DP
