Pronghorns came to Kaimere in two waves: middle and late Miocene. The first wave has the most diversity in the known world (forest and prairie taxa), but the clade of the second that includes the modern common pronghorn is much more diverse on the Eastern continent.
…caudifemoralis muscles for kicking back their short but powerful legs while they punted. I also played with the idea of a fluke in a few of my illustrations, basically adding power to the kicks. Turns out I didn’t take that last concept nearly as far as the 2020 reveal went!

The giant antelope is a large pronghorn endemic to Pakardia.
The zentaur embodies a compromise approach: a few young are offered protection and food for their first few months, but when the mother leaves to bulk up for the next nesting season, they’re on their own.
