So if we were to take that exact same list and remove every 🟢 except the ones that involve Shiva decisively beating a named character, an established quantity, disregarding individual levels of skill (so beating Vic Sage counts as much as beating Cass), the final count is...

On the, as we've seen, VERY rare occasions where Shiva loses a fight clean, it's always to a named character and usually at the end of a big arc. BATGIRL #25 and #73, DETECTIVE #956, RICHARD DRAGON (2004) #12... the only exception is RED HOOD AND THE OUTLAWS, which. Well. Sucks.

For this exercise in nitpickery, pedantry and bias, I'll be using this here list of Shiva appearances. It doesn't include every comic she's been in, but we're only focusing on the ones with fights with 'em.
Also, I'm gonna stick to arcs/storylines instead of individual issues.

Having a bit of a moody day so I'm gonna go ahead and make it even worse by talking about something I don't like talking about for reasons that will be very clear soon: Lady Shiva's fight record!

So I guess my final word on this annual is... see you all in about a week and a half when BATGIRLS #13 comes out!
Then we'll see what's what.

There's some other stuff about this annual as well, like how I don't enjoy her being so intensely aggressive towards Cass, especially after Outsiders, but again, this is just chapter one. And so far, it hasn't fully broken either of my big two Fuck This rules for Shiva comics.

It's (nearly) the end of the year as we know it, but we have one last Lady Shiva appearance to look at -- or at least, half of one. It's the BATGIRLS 2022 ANNUAL! Let's talk about it! Full spoilers and some grumbling ahead:

Overall, I have a bunch of nitpicks and personal issues with it, but nothing deal-breaking yet. Plus, it's still only part one of a bigger story.
