Mother’s Day reading recommendation. Secret Origins #1
Atomic Skull is neat. Out of the hundreds of skull themed villains he still usually manages to be visually striking.
Been feeling this story lately. Action Comics #3 Supermen trapping the rich bosses in a cave due to the poor and dangerous conditions they put their workers in.
The covers for the Golden Age Dailes collections are so dang good.
The more I study and reflect on Siegel and Shuster’s head space when creating Superman the more I think it largely boils down to the childish (in the best sense) mindset of any person picking on someone weaker there’s a bigger stronger friend that can give them their comeuppance.
Feels like there’s not enough talk of just how good Daniel Sampere’s Superman is. He’s nailed the body type, fit of the suit, good sized crest, kind yet strong face, and he’s nailed that hair curl.
I feel like for the past year I’ve wanted to say every week “what a good time to be a Superman fan”, but god damn what a good time to be a Superman fan.
