@MissWalsh28 @OGTeaches I used this in year 5 as part of our Mindfulness work but would be fine for younger children. It is just lovely at showing all families are different.
@misswestons @merrillteaches We did a sense alone art lesson the other week after learning about orca whales and reading the beautiful book Storm whale. We revisited techniques previously taught and they interpreted the image of the eye from the book in their own way.
A few weeks ago I posted for support over picture books to take the ‘fear’ of death away. Little one was worrying lots. This was suggested and at first I was unsure how she would react. I showed her a page and said when you want to, we can look at this together 1/
@HopleyMiss @MrTs_NQTs @Toriaclaire @MissKhan__ What sort of thing do you want the newspaper to be about? Refugees would be a good one to highlight plight. Could use these gems x
Some of my favourite picture books for Valentine’s Day that show love for your family. Hope you all have a special day with your loved ones. We all need love right now in all shapes and forms.
If I could, I would post this to every MP who voted not to support #FreeSchoolMeals 😢
As part of the ‘jigsaw’ PHSE programme we are using in school, I am currently teaching the rights of children & exploring refugees. I’ve taken creative license (although sticking to the theme) & used BOOK POWER. Books help make difficult subjects so much more accessible.
@TJGriffiths @toddstanton1 Leo and the gorgon’s curse isn’t out yet though. I’m excitedly waiting. Every class I have taught as adored these books. X

However they have been the most popular books in my class last year so know how highly prized the children value them. These were their favourites.
