Want to be a good ally? Call out ableism. When autistics get overwhelmed or meltdown it isn't for pity, or attention. It's a sign that we can't handle what we're dealing with right now. Calling us attention seekers for it is ableist.

It's sad that there's STILL anti-vaxxers. Autism is so feared that people refuse to get their child life saving vaccines because of a study that's been debunked several times. Please get yourself and your children vaccinated.
It's common for newly discovered autistics to lower their masks and start being more of themselves, autism and all. Others may see this as them becoming more autistic, or exaggerating their autism, but the truth is far more positive.

April 2nd is Autism Acceptance Day. The founder of the Autism Acceptance movement, Paula Durbin-Westby, chose acceptance because one definition is positive welcome & belonging. Autism Acceptance isn't about simple tolerance, it's about accepting us for who we are, autism and all.
Trans rights are human rights. With April coming up it's so important to understand the difference between awareness and acceptance. People are aware that trans people exist, but many don't accept them. 1/3
I really don't understand why when some people find out that I hate being tickled they see it as an invitation to tickle me. It's happened several times in my life.

I absolutely love having a friend just as obsessed with the same things that I am. While others may tell me to be quiet and give it a rest, the two of us will fuel each other's obsession, and happily go on and on and on and on and...
