This is my partner's favourite comic I've ever done. It's also the first appearance of Honeydew's vacant stare.

As a side note, I am fairly good at simple math like this, it's just sometimes my brain doesn't want to math.

I've had neurotypicals come after me for using the term "autistic" before. I'm absolutely shocked by the nerve of these people who feel that they have the right to tell the autistic community how we can and cannot label ourselves.

Having an autistic kid can be really confusing when you're not autistic, so it makes sense that parents would have a lot of questions. More and more I'm seeing parents coming to autistic communities and organizations for answers and it fills me with hope.

If a kid is raised being told that they can't do something because you believe they aren't capable of it, then they're going to believe you, and they won't even try. Don't let your preconceived notions of autism hold your child back.

When you hide your child's diagnosis you're doing them zero favours. You're not saving them from bullying, or isolation. Those will still happen, but they won't know why. They'll just think there's something wrong with them.

Autistic burnout can be brutal. When I hit burnout my brain shuts off. It's like hitting the power button on a computer when it overheats. Shutting everything off in order to let it cool down.

I find that I lose myself in my hyperfixations most when I'm incredibly stressed. The more stressed I am the more I hyperfixate. It's a coping mechanism that helps me escape the worries of the world.
