@ianmaclarty "Earn credits, unlock new technology, upgrade your vehicle and tame the hostile Martian landscape." #TSSN
For the occasion, it received a very slight redesign, as we can see on this artwork by Jason Pichon.
It will therefore have waited from 2012 to 2019 (dates of production) in the Lucasfilm archives.
Other Rogue-class Porax-38 starfighter appeared in The Clone Wars (2008-2014) - but as Rogue-class starfighter before 2014. As I said, it's convoluted.
Then a new version was introduced in The Mandalorian (chapter 6, 2019). Again, a design by Ryan Church.
The (Rogue-class) Porax-38 starfighter was created for Revenge of the Sith (2005) by @rchurchdesign It can be seen in the Utapau Skyforce. Blink and you'll miss it.
As the name suggests, this design is inspired by the Lockheed P-38 Lightning (1939).
Let first recall that Cad Bane's first ship, in The Clone Wars' seasons 2 (2009) and 3 (2010), was the Xanadu Blood. It was a Rogue-class Porax-38 starfighter (and just a Rogue-class in Legends, it's convoluted story for another thread).
There is always a reason to show the work of @rchurchdesign
War of the Worlds was released 16 years ago today.
Btw Steven Spielberg, I love you.
