Artist Cheung Chung Tat's take on a Godzilla universe would be the scariest, yet visually most stunning incarnation if it was brought to life with the seriousness of the Gamera trilogy or Shin.

@PermianSailback One thing I'll never understand in this capitilised to the ground franchise, is how the hell does it manage to produce so many image guides and books apparently appealing enough to be collected if ALL OF THEM feature the same boring png files? Like, why are they so appealing?

I don't think any of the Monsterverse movies has ever properly utilized Matt Allsopp's composition skills, while turning his storyboards into cinematic sequences. That shot of Godzilla standing in the rain above Alcatraz, is a massive missed opportunity.

In this digital world of ours, shows like The Owl House or Primal prowed that if enough resources are given to the animators, detailed 2d animated creatures/characters can still be dominant monuments on screen.

What's cool about the Pacific Rim Kaiju is that even if they weren't built bioweapons, you could still find enough, more subtle signs of common characteristics to imply a biodiversity of creatures on the level of beetles. Like those flat plates at the back of their skull.

@BrianEngh_Art Artistic gore/violence is good as long as it's not an in your face thematic focus of the artwork, but more of a simple, naturalistic element of the depicted scene instead.
John Sibbick is one of the best at this.
