Watched The Heroin Busters (1977) glad to finally cross this one of my classic Poliziotteschi list. Starts a bit on the slower side but builds such a great momentum to the balls out action packed last half hour including motorbike and plane chases! Plus Goblin were in peak form👍
Watched Night Life (1989) not bad but uneven 80's zombie flick that is well overdue for an upgrade (still only available on VHS). It's an odd mix of 80's comedy highjinks but then switching to a really dark tone at times. It has some good FX I wonder how cut the VHS version is?👍
Watched The Northman (2022) I have to say this was the best damn Sword & Sorcery film I've seen in a long while! Robert Eggers is 3 for 3 IMO at the moment. Based on the Amleth legend it is so well realized the visuals and sound design are superb plus great performances by all👍
Watched The Sadness (2021) finally got to see this IMO a great tribute to Cat III films of yesteryear not quite as brutal as it was hyped to be but don't get me wrong if you throw this on at a family gathering you might be disowned. Some great gore & true WTF! moments within👍
@psycho_gnostic @RogerCorman @716film @GregRozeboom @psychotronica_ @MutantTheater2 @lastnametaco @AngusKohm @chrisoneill99 @JoezillaZ Such a fun film! makes a great double bill with Galaxy Of terror. On the making of the director mentioned that at the premier Corman almost got in a fight with a patron for laughing at the film😄👍
Hey everybody just checking in to let you know what I've been up to. My Covid shot turned out to be the the golden needle ie Willy Wonka so I won a free trip to Mars & I'm killing Martians & planting veggies getting the place ready for the Billionaire Boys Club anywho au revoir👍
watched Friendship's Death (1987) an interesting little 2 character sci-fi drama. A alien robot accidentally ends up in war torn 1970 Jordan instead of the US where she stays with a Scottish journalist there the two discuss all things of the human condition. Stars Tilda Swinton👍
Watched A Blade in the Dark (1983) one of the finest Gialli of the 80's here from Lamberto Bava which was originally a four part mini series but deemed too violent for TV so it was recut into a movie. Being the protege of Argento & his father Mario really payed off very tense👍
Watched Tailenders (2009) jumping on #AniMay with this little gem that's in the tradition of great racing anime ie Speed Racer but is balls out crazy like a mix between Dead Leaves and Redline. Great animation great character designs the only problem is it's too short at 27 min👍
Watched Nightmare City (1980) I think Umberto Lenzi was better at crime films than he was at horror but that being said his horror films are still great and this is my personal fave of his horror output. Zombie film or 'infected' film it works really well plus a great score👍
