The paintings of Nick Evans have caused quite a stir in the gallery. Our good friend @Mikecainartist was almost lost for words at the brilliance of paintings & disbelieving that Evans had no formal training of any kind - these astonishing paintings just tumbled out of him
We are delighted to have acquired a number of paintings by the late Welsh artist, Nick Evans. Anyone who has followed this A/C over the years will know how highly we rate Nick's paintings. Each is an outporing of hardship, often sorrow & genuine affinity with working miners.

A great snapshot of lockdown life on what is normally a notoriously busy Street
@nooobie And another. What makes them so special is the absence of the normal Station Road traffic / mass of people due to lockdown. They are very reminiscent of American artist Edward Hopper.
5) One of the most satisfying sales of the month has been this small watercolour of Sheigra Bay, Sutherland by Scottish Artist, Ann Finlayson. We love Ann's work & it's great to see collectors (this time in Canada) appreciating her art.
