2/ The project started with two abandoned 747-8is (originally for Russia's bankrupt Transaero Airlines) modernized to Air Force One VC-25B standards. 747-8i is short for 747-8 Intercontinental. Is VC in VC-25 short for VIP Cargo? Why "25" and not VC-747-8i?

The hub I used the most was the International Terminal at JFK. Ironically, I never flew the B-747s of my two great hometown airlines: Eastern and Delta because they didn’t operate them when I was a kid and they didn’t use flights I flew later. 5/
