It wasn't the first time an illustration made by Yukiko Hirai / 平井有紀子 was featured on the cover of Famitsu. She had already created the one for the February 15, 2018 issue dedicated to Dragon's Crown Pro as well as several illustrations for the original version of the game.

Yukiko Hirai / 平井有紀子 was the main illustrator and character designer on 13 Sentinels - Aegis Rim. Among the illustrations she created for the game are this 2017 poster, a countdown illustration, the cover art for the March 26, 2020 issue of Famitsu and the OST cover art.
