Days 7/8/9 of the #Halo 3 Master Chief / Spartan model restoration. I've got most of the key elements for the undersuit complete now. Retouched the helmet on some details I missed before, fixed the visor, did the funny spinal plates, added more detail the forearms, and more.
Day 3 of the #Halo 3 MC model restoration. Spent some of the day digging up more reference material. Retouched the upperarm armour a bit, just about finished the helmet, and started on the torso armour. + some wireframes for those who want to know: Yes it is totally game-usable.
Day two of the #Halo 3 MC model restoration. Still some small details to be sorted out on the helmet, but I took the helmet extremely slow as to (hopefully) ensure a near 100% accuracy to the intentions of the original artists, as it's going to likely be the most critical part
1/2 One day's progress of "restoring" the #Halo 3 MC model. First half of the day was refitting & correcting the texture of the MCC undersuit (still wip). Working from both a study on the model's normal map as well as a photogrammetry model of the h3 statue as reference.
1/2 Saved these images back in Highschool, from searching online (using @TinEye) it looks like they can't be found at this resolution anymore. Doing my part for preservation:
@Adriene3dArts @Kashiiera @Ascend_Hyperion @HiddenXperia @Unyshek Friend of mine told me I should respond with the CE ODST setup I did as part of the still-unfinished highpoly CE marine edits I was doing; which if I'm being honest I should finish & release already.
1/? The Funny™ of developing in #garrysmod #gmod (and Source in general in a lot of these cases)
Today on my quick mini de-stressing side project, preserving some history of my favourite fighting game by porting the character I played the most from the PS1 game Bloody Roar II to gmod. I've handled rigging pre-posed characters worse than this so it should be pretty easy.
Also on a sidenote, this was way too fast for me to get a photo of for 360, but the hex pattern on the elite FP does not blend correctly at all, more accurately it doesn't blend at all period. It's just its own layer in appearace. On the 360 the effect & lighting blends.
