Malos' English VA @davidmenkin has many roles outside the Xeno series. For example, in Valorant he plays Breach, in Thomas and Friends he plays Porter, and in Final Fantasy XIV he plays Magnus.
Baten Kaitos, another Monolith series, almost was brought to the DS. Before Baten Kaitos: Origins came out, Baten Kaitos DS was listed along with Xenosaga on a list of upcoming DS games. While Xenosaga I & II was released in 2006, Baten Kaitos DS was quietly cancelled by Namco.
The placeholder versions of the Male and Female Common Blades are found in the files of Xenoblade 2. In the E3 2017 Showcase of the game, we also were able to see an early version of the large Male Common Blade as well.
This is Lambert. He's a character from a very early stages of Xenoblade 1's development who is still in the game's files. His model is listed as "pc2" which means "playable character 2." Whether he was a placeholder, scrapped, or an early version of Reyn, we don't know for sure.
In the Monado Archives Artbook, Tetsuya Takahashi talks about areas on the Bionis he wishes you could explore:
“I would have liked us to travel up to the horn of Bionis…” he says. The view up there would have certainly been magnificent."
"The Xenogears Comic Anthology," and "Xenogears 4Koma Comic" are 2 graphic novels released in 1998. They both contain many short stories that take place during and after the events of the game. I love that there's tons of character interaction; something the game lacks a bit.
Xenoblade 1 has some test animations in it for several characters to check to see how all the joints work. This frame is from a Homs child test animation file. This is cursed.
It's the Halloween season and what better way to celebrate than by posting this spooky art from the Monado Archives Artbook! Interestingly enough, these Jack-o-Lanterns do appear in Xenoblade! In Makna Forest, you can see them near Nopon architecture.
Poppi QTπ has an alternate costume accessible in Xenoblade 2's Challenge Mode that looks a bit like Emeralda Kasim from Xenogears. Not only that, but the costume is called "Nano Orange," which could be a reference to the fact that Emerelda is a colony of Nanomachines.
