What would you say is the most appropriate comparison between these two groups?
I've seen some people skeptical that Magic may have influenced From Software, so here's something pointed out to me by Peter Mohrbacher himself, the artist for Grimgrin. It's not hard to imagine Dark Souls II's Artificial Undead being at least partly based on Mohrbacher's art.
I've mentioned before that Rayquaza is my favorite legendary, and I like Zinnia and her clan's history with Rayquaza, so ancient Hoenn could be cool. But, considering Legends: Arceus is a lot more recent history than it initially seemed, I'm not sure how far back they can go.
They made an exception for Charizard, significantly editing its shiny color, but they were fine with keeping several vomit green eyesores, or things like barely nudging the hue-saturation slider on Gengar. They should've really gone in there and gave a bunch of them the works.
Probably my favorite example, and maybe my favorite Pokemon character in general, is Zinnia. Her whole story is just getting absolutely denied by Rayquaza while she's trying to save the world and fulfill the legacy of her people, and then you can catch the idiot in a quick ball.
The market for Pokemon-but-colored-like-other-stages-of-their-evolution-line is untapped.
This might seem like an odd recommendation compared to my usual fare, but Centaurworld was surprisingly good. I was especially impressed with how lively and expressive the animation is. Best of all, it set up and concluded its story without dragging on or getting cancelled early.
@RanqueBenoit It's a model kit for an Armored Core that appears in Armored Core: Nexus, and which was used as basically the mascot for the game, appearing on the box art and promotional material.
This has been brought to my attention and it's a much wilder reality than I was prepared to imagine. https://t.co/QFii1cCQT3
