This was my first introduction to Crobat, and it solidified my love for the evolutionary line. Zubat has remained my favorite Pokemon ever since. I'll never see that plush toy Zubat again, and yet I still carry it with me always.

So now, over six years later, I'm Zullie the Witch to thousands of people entirely thanks to thinking it would be cute to play the Zullie to someone's Alva in an informal PvP get-together, and will continue to be Zullie for the foreseeable future. Weird how these things turn out.

So I was reminded by the buzz around @VaatiVidya's latest video of one of my own lore theories that I don't think I ever detailed here on Twitter. Let's lay the framework:

Here's another look at past Majula, provided by Rytelier. Notice that strange cylindrical structure left of the area where the Gutter should be? Dropoff spotted it as well, and took a few shots of it.

The runes on the handle of the Astora Straight Sword are actually legible words, written in a mix of Elder and Younger Futhark. Loki, a Souls mod author, and her friend Untz identified and translated the text:
The Setting of the Sun was Delayed,
A wound cuts deeper into Humanity

To make things even better though, since that's not the finalized ingame version of the Old One, let's take a look at the real one. The same comparison, now with the true Old One, shows just how obscene it is, dwarfing the unused Old One almost as much as it dwarfed Dragon God.

To get a good idea of just how big it is ingame though, here's a comparison between it and Dragon God there on the left.

Why did my dad do this? Because, of course, he'd already bought Banjo-Tooie days before, and it was waiting at home under the tree. Banjo-Kazooie was a part of my childhood I'll never forget, and look at us now. I've been waiting for this announcement and I couldn't be happier.
