This was my first introduction to Crobat, and it solidified my love for the evolutionary line. Zubat has remained my favorite Pokemon ever since. I'll never see that plush toy Zubat again, and yet I still carry it with me always.

So now, over six years later, I'm Zullie the Witch to thousands of people entirely thanks to thinking it would be cute to play the Zullie to someone's Alva in an informal PvP get-together, and will continue to be Zullie for the foreseeable future. Weird how these things turn out.

So I was reminded by the buzz around @VaatiVidya's latest video of one of my own lore theories that I don't think I ever detailed here on Twitter. Let's lay the framework:

The runes on the handle of the Astora Straight Sword are actually legible words, written in a mix of Elder and Younger Futhark. Loki, a Souls mod author, and her friend Untz identified and translated the text:
