This is just the "guy looks at the other girl" meme in comic form and I'm not sorry. He's called "Sword Lothario" because one of my friends started saying it and it stuck.

If you're up to date, you'll know what I mean when I say that I had the big betrayal in mind from this point onwards. There's a reason Bread Knight got given that Smartsword for free. It took over two years but the plot thread finally paid off.

Harpe never speaks like this again, but it added to the mystery at the time (although, to be fair, it should have been pretty obvious who it was).

The Great Sage of Water is an elf who runs the Sword Library of Hiltshire. Some little background deets you might appreciate : Rad the Sworc, a map of the Hiltshire Kingdom (now shipping as prints on Patreon, lol) and a replica of the broken godsword in the woods.

Way too many characters have that specific scar on the left side of their mouth, I really gotta stop doing that (or do it way, way more). Harpe, Sickle and Bread Knight all have it. The Monster Magician and Adventure Guild Veteran have larger scarring there too. My brain just do.

This episode is one of those rare ones that sticks out like a sore thumb. The lineart is too heavy, these characters never appear again - some lost opportunities here. I'm increasingly appreciating having small collections of the same character I can repost on Imgur and stuff.

This really needed about 10 more panels to articulate what was happening. But that's what redraws later are for!
