The Philippine tawili is the world’s only freshwater sardine, and it’s found exclusively in Lake Tagaytay, Luzon. It’s also a popular local dish and as a result is endangered due to overfishing. #SundayFishSketch

I get to swim with broadnose sevengill sharks in the open ocean tank as a dive volunteer at @AquariumOTheBay. Super chill, they mostly hang out in the upper area of the tank and ignore me. Sevengills are the only shark on the west coast with seven gill slits. #SundayFishSketch

Big news I've been sitting on for too long:
Last month, after 6 years I decided to move on from my role as Product Designer at Goodreads.

Late on my #SundayFishSketch because I am fortunate enough to be in Maui right now. Here’s one of my favorite snorkel and scuba companions lately: it’s the state fish of Hawaii, the reef triggerfish, otherwise known as humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa!

The common bluestriped snapper is native to the Indian ocean to the central Pacific, but in the 50’s a population introduced to the coastal waters of Hawaii in an an attempt to increase stocks of game fish, so they live there now, too #SundayFishSketch
