I got to go free diving for urchin this weekend with an awesome group of spear fishers. They caught several blue rockfish which we fried for dinner that night along with the uni I collected. To commemorate the trip I drew a the rockfish for this week’s #SundayFishSketch

The long spined porcupinefish can of course inflate itself and its neurotoxin-tipped spines as a means of warding off predators. However, it is also sometimes known to use its inflation technique to wedge itself into crevices when it rests! #SundayFishSketch

I’ve been reading #DragonBallZ and also books about octopus, so today I sketched an imaginary fight between two octopus as if they were DBZ characters. They’re cephalopods, not fish, but I was pleased to see that it intersected with today’s #SundayFishSketch #Fishytheme fight!

The classic moray eel:If you've been to an aquarium you've probably seen these fellas. Some people find them intimidating but they are not usually aggressive. I think they look like big ropey dogs!
