Took a long break from #SundayFishSketch to focus on writing my comic. But now that I’m back to drawing, I have a lot of incidental fish drawings to share. Here’s a California sheepshead, looking rather nonplussed (as per usual)
This week I drew a crossover event with my #SundayFishSketch and my work on @octopolis_comic— a fimbriated moray doing some cooperative night hunting with an octopus friend.
Comic-con put me way behind on my #Sundayfishsketch so here’s a quick ‘False Boarfish’ seen on the recent @oceanexplorer #okeanos dive. These bathypelagic fish raise their dorsal spines to assert their territory
@Prophecy_Comics It's still in progress, but I'm creating a graphic novel about a future earth of intelligent octopus: @octopolis_comic
Met a new kind of fish in a restaurant aquarium yesterday. The mirror carp is notable for having irregular scale patterns— much of their body is smooth, but they have enormous mirror-like scales in uneven patches across their backs and sides. #SundayFishSketch
Some studies from video, practice for @octopolis_comic
