At this stage things were starting to read pretty nicely, but I was STRUGGLING with that cloak. I reached out to the lovely @rhineville for help and he did a great paintover which basically saved the piece <3
Fast forward another few hours of rendering and it was done!
You'll notice I'm still tweaking and refining the design constantly; 3D doesn't give you all the answers and you still need to know all those fundamental things to actually get the most out of it! I redrew a lot of the architecture using refs from the style guide and existing art
a few more from the same project - really just feeling out spaces and moods. I find this sort of work super relaxing.
the lovely @VargasNi made some incredible Procreate brushes! I used them for a couple of hours today and it already feels a hundred-times closer to Photoshop, highly recommended :)
