Movie [64/200] — The Black Phone — [A-]

A unique twist on a kidnapping story. Well paced with hardly a slow moment. Ethan Hawke is great as the villain. Does a great job with its suspense and has effective scares. Solid horror film.

Movie [63/200] — Vampyr — [C]

Shot beautifully and manages to be unsettling, even for it’s time. A large portion of the story is told by text and limited dialogue, which was a limitation for the time, but it did drag the movie down a lot. Neat early horror film.

Movie [59/200] — Corpse Bride — [B]

Lovely animation and art style. Charming direction and music numbers. Voice acting is great. It’s a solid animated film, even though the plot itself is simple and somewhat predictable.

Personally I think the new #SilentHill2 voices are better in the remaster but I think the original voices are better for #SilentHill3

Book [19/40] — The Silver Chair — [B-]

Focuses on newer characters while maintaining the fairy tale like essence of the story. The villain is one of the better ones in the series. Like all of of the other books the conflict ends too conveniently.

If #Capcom announces a new #Darkstalkers game I will actually lose my mind.

#GhostwireTokyo is cool but Ghostwire: Manila would be awesome.

Or Ghostwire: Cebu. I’d prefer Cebu.

Filipino mythology is underrated.

Game [13/15] — Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles — [C+]

Flashy combat although lacking in depth. Character roster is limited and many characters feel like repetitions of others. The campaign is translated well into gameplay although the exploration is too linear.

Show [21/50] — Demon Slayer — Season 2 — [A]

The narrative isn’t as strong, but it’s supported strongly by its impeccable animation. It’s a visual spectacle that outdoes itself with each passing episode.

I just think that #FinalFantasy is so freaking cool.
