These pieces by Brazilian cartoonist Antônio Gabriel Nássara (1910-1996) are over 75 years old, but the design still feels remarkably fresh today.
"Adult" animation doesn't have to look like it was designed & animated by people wearing blindfolds. It can be beautiful, move elegantly & have appeal like other animation. Lots of '40s-era personal art by Disney artist Jesse Marsh has turned up at auction over the last year and it's a real eye-opener. Such a fantastically creative and idiosyncratic graphic stylist. No surprise that during this period he was one of @wardkimball's closest friends.
