Gen 5 is like Gen 8, I didn't like the game that they were selling, and I didn't want to give it money. I bought my gen 5 copy used & so I have no attachment to these things. I do like "smug leaf" because snake but Pig boy was a let down. He's better then Fire Monkey from gen 4.

Gen 1 and Gen 3 are all good. There are no losers. The pokemon you pick from the start will be the best pokemon in the game when you finish. The grass pokemon always have it the weakest, but design wise to typing, they're over all perfect, no matter which one you pick.

Which going back to gen 6, it was really tough because non of the starters I liked.
Clearly the Ninja frog turned out to be the best, but just look at how ugly they all are when they're in CGI. I really wanted the Fire Fox to be good to look at. You keep it a Braixen.

I'm kinda on Weed Cat side right now, only because of Weed Cat.
I never played Swd/Shd because it was a rushed game, but I did consider picking Sobble only because I like lizards and I try to pick the Reptiles or bird starters.

Nothing about this lad appeals to me. If it appeals to you, great, but holy hell, it's a let down. There's a serious lack of personality and the way it's cgi body just stands there, which has remarkably less mobility then Torterra, a literal tank!

Guy seriously being shirtless with a tatoo'd body lookin like this and a head like a triangle. You don't need to be questioning his intelligence cause you're too stoner stupid for a personal funny.

@squidmamaart The problem is the "flat" style of today has little to no understanding of negative space or composition. It's not easy to master minimalism, and I'd be best to not make this style the default just because a computer makes it easier to do.

@squidmamaart I mean, it takes a lot of work to be able to make stylized humans look good. You can only go minimalist if you know how to be maximalist 1st.
Found some good ones but I don't have sources. Not everything that's "Flat" has to look like shit.

@squidmamaart @DanGuy96 They're making the cartoons they want to see, which is ok in theory but they might not be the cartoons that children SHOULD see. It's got all the same energy of Assigned Male... someone who recently outed themselves as a diaper fur by accident.
