@ArtistBibi Yeah man. You don't remember these? I also have a frazetta art book that my dad gave me that he bought in 1975.
Oh yeah I guess I could post some closeups. I feel like I'm finally understanding how to design my brush strokes for the first time in the last year or so.
Here's a bit of a look into my process on this guy. I also made a new smudge tool that I used to paint the clouds and parts of the body that I put up here for download. It's extremely handy. https://t.co/0XtuE2PcoK
I basically paint the black separately as its own layer with another layer for lit areas underneath. Its deceptively simple but I think yields an interesting result and really helps control values. Last step is to do a little paint over with the mixer brush to bring it together.
Oh yeah forgot to tell you guys that I hid my name in his mouth meat.
Something I struggle with in my work is the need to go crazy rendered and tight everywhere(despite the fact that I hate rendering). Thats one thing I tried to focus on avoiding in this exercise, to try and carry more sketch energy to final.
Man this really blew up overnight. I have also had more of my art stolen as nfts overnight. It used to be a few per week but now it can be many per day. Something has to be done.
